How the sun came...

You might be wondering how that yellow crystal orb in the sky came. Well, luckily for you, I'm here to tell you all about it.

Protector of earth, Eldin, watched over this tiny planet for any sign of trouble. But a lot of trouble occurred on this planet. Therefore it was very difficult to keep on leaving his post from his post, considering his important position amongst gods.

All solved with a son!

"Would and could you please bring my son, Kelmivankal?" requested Eldin to his servant on a fine morning, taking off his eyes from the scroll he was reading as the servant came in.

"Yes, my lord," said the servant bowing low as he scurried out of the room.

Moments later, the servant came into the room, yet again, but this time with Eldin's son, Kelmivankal.

Ushered in, Kelmivankal seated himself in a plump chair near his father.

"You summoned me, father?" said Kelmivankal politely.

"Ah, yes," replied Eldin. "I want you to travel in the mortal realm and be on the lookout for any sign of trouble. If any trouble occurs, it is your duty to counter and solve it."

"Yes, father," said Kelmivankal "When should I depart?"

"Earliest time available," replied Eldin "I suggest you departure tomorrow, and finish packing necessary items today."

"Yes, father," said Kelmivankal yet again, and went out of the room.

Flanked to his supreme eagle, his usual mode of transport by his set of guardians, Kelmivankal set off to departure to earth as it was finally "tomorrow".

Stepping on earth, he was greeted by much noise.

"Nice costume, young man!" said a tall man who glanced at Kelmivankal

Kelmivankal looked down at himself, then at all the others in the place, arriving at the conclusion that he decidedly didn't fit in. Then with a speedy strut, he set off to the nearest shop to buy himself some clothes to blend in with the humans.

He put on the new clothes but did not take off his prized jewelry. He then ordered himself some food and walked off to a tree to sit under.

"Why're you wearin' such heavy jewelry, dummy? Never min', 'cause it'll make us rich," said a rough voice behind him.

Kelmivankal wheeled around. Two kidnappers came into view.

The first kidnapper yanked one of Kelmivankal's heavy chains.

"How...dare...you?" said Kelmivankal in outrage.

"You're too young to make threats, you dumb lad," said the kidnappers, punching him in the face and then lapsing into guffaws.

The kidnapper reached to take Kelmivankal's ring, but Kelmivankal pushed his filthy hand away hard, making it collide with the kidnapper's face.

How dare they - the harmless buffoons, threaten the son of the mighty Eldin?

Rage obscured him and within a second, both the kidnappers were laying flat on their backs on the hard ground.

Kelmivankal snatched his necklace from the kidnapper's hand and punched him in the face, very hard.

The kidnappers writhed in pain and got up, begging.

"Please, we'll do anything - ANYTHING.*

"Really?" Said Kelmivankal sarcastically "How will I know you won't do it again? Rather...I better finish you off."

All the rage put into his spell, the kidnappers flew into the sky, and there appeared the glowing sun, due to the intensity of Kelmivankal's rage.

Thereon, everybody lived happily, because of the protection from Kelmivankal, and...the glowing sun.
