Happiness

Dear Diary,

Will I ever find happiness is the question? I often ask myself. I always feel the weight of the world in my shoulders. Yes, it is just the figment of my imaginations. My life is a unique blend of victories and failures. Somehow, I always fail to see the good things happening around me. I do blame the books and movies which fed the whole happily-ever-after concept. Anyhow, I waited and waited for my version of this miracle. It has not happened yet, but something did change my perspective. I learned through divine intervention that happiness is a relative emotion. It is not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It is hidden behind every hue and colour. It is present in everything around us.

Most importantly, it is present within us. Everyone has a different definition of feeling. The tall building that might look majestic to the innocent rural girl might look drab to the city man. I am delighted that I found my joy in simple things. I wish you do the same.
