Grand Covid Wedding

The bride was super happy that she got engaged in the month of valentine's day 2020. She was in dream world because of fancy date engagement (20 - Feb - 2020). Slowly the love started on her heart towards him. She started to dream each special moments.

He asked, how we can talk daily without knowing our mobile number?

She smiled and shared the number on the day of engagement. 

The heart raced in her to get his number back. But the feeling of shyness stopped it. 

He understood and said, wait for my message. 

She loved the way he understood her thoughts. 

On the same night, she was expecting message from him. Oh! This is not me. Something happened she worried about losing herself in the love. That moment she received a cling sound and she threw all her worry.

After a long time, mobile message tone changed from silent to loud. He called her as chella. He said, I love you in the first few messages. 

She was having butterflies in her stomach. She acknowledged but didn't say it back. 

Few days chat continued and the talk started to next level to discuss on wedding plans. 

She wanted to design and plan each things on her wedding. He completely surrendered to her on this planning. Both discussed on daily basis on their wedding plans.

The wedding was planned in mid of April. Both started designing their invitation first.

Invitation, dress, background and friends dress are all planned in same colour of white, yellow and green. 

Pre-wedding and Post-wedding photo shoot are planned. For those purchase, they planned to go out together.

On the day of purchase, she traveled 300kms with her mom to meet him. Meeting him is main agenda, purchase was second one. 

Matching beach dress, formal home dress, cute mini skirt etc.. All the purchases were over. They didn't feel like they are just engaged. 

They were counting days for their big day and their comes an announcement from government to have one day lock down. They really felt happy about that day as it was like celebration to them to have full day video call and chat. Enjoying evening with lighting diya and making sounds. 

That week went normal and happy till that announcement came for 2 weeks lock down. The wedding saree purchase and mangalsutra purchase for planned on that week. After that week, they didn't get any auspicious day to buy those things.

The family astrologer gave another some what ok date to do purchase after two weeks. Though the couples family are not so happy about it. There was no choice left other than picking up the new date. Astrologer gave wedding date very early from engagement because there was no good date for those couples in next 1 year. 

After 10 days, the announcement came again on extending lock down. The couple become very upset. The family was on serious pressure to bring groom family to their place else it is not possible to do wedding. 

They searched for multiple options for urgent transportation and with help of all customer service they brought the groom family a week before wedding. There was no new saree or mangalsutra bought yet. No flowers, no decorations, no hall, no fancy poses, no wedding photography, no priest, no relatives, no special food, no welcome girls. 

The wedding day early morning, groom got ready at girl's home with one new dhoti which he purchased long back, the girl draped one simple normal saree which she purchased to take it to her in-laws house. It is not silk or special embossed saree. It is simple saree. The elder in the family took one yellow thread with turmeric tied, the younger one in family telecasted it through video call. The wedding happened in 10 minutes with mandra in Phone, few flowers from garden, only parents and siblings as guests, no makeup and no dramas. Just only the two lovable souls with so much expectations, married each other with full of love. 

They promised each other to have a grand honeymoon after this lock down gets over. The couple became pregnant before the lock down was fully released. 

In general, marriage will teach more things to everyone. In covid Wedding, it is more teachings and more love. Life is simple and it was reminded by covid. We complicated everything like this wedding planning just to show off to someone. 

Thanking covid for showing some good things like this. But hating it to the core, for taking lives of many. Let's take only lessons from this covid.
