Flora - My cafè friend

Flora - My cafè friend

Last month, I went to the nearest café to apply for a job. I've always wanted to be a singer. Getting the job at this cafè was a startup. I opened the coffee coloured door, which always gives me the " rainy day " vibes, I still don't know why. As I entered the cafè , I was overwhelmed with the aroma of different flavours of coffee, lattes, puddings, jellies, chocolates... what not! I was also overwhelmed with the unique fashion of the cafè. The atmosphere was pretty new to me. I loved the beautiful fragrance of coffee since I was a little child. I quickly went off to the interviewer's office. And guess what- I got the job! I started working the next morning. I was driving back home, when I suddenly saw my childhood friend! I invited her to my place, even though it was very messy and the rooms were pretty small. I knew that she wouldn't judge me for that.

She had grown a lot, like me. We thought we'd be friends forever, but, alas, the college made us part ways. I had last seen her when we were 15. She had the same old glasses, but larger. She was as beautiful as before. When she arrived, I was really happy to finally meet her after all these years. She was wearing the cap that I gave her when we last saw each other. I took her contact and address and she took mine. We met each other a lot. A few days later, I discovered that she was working with me in the cafè! Suddenly, last to last week, I got a call at 1 am.

I was very worried as I usually don't get calls that late. I answered. A voice asked me, " Are you Ms. Flora Cole's ( my friend's name) friend?" I answered, " Yes." The voice told me that Flora had been in a terrible car accident and was asking for me. I was shocked! I immediately rushed to the hospital Flora was admitted in. I quickly went to her room. She told me that she wouldn't be able to live any longer and she wanted me to have all of her fortune.

I didn't wanna let her go just like that! I needed her! I tried to convince her, but she told me that her job was done here. I had to leave the room after singing her favorite song to her. A few minutes later, the doctor apologized. I broke down into tears when I saw the heartbeat meter. It showed that my friend had.... passed away. I tried to console myself but couldn't. A few days later, I attended her funeral. I cried and kept on crying until one day when I realized that Flora would still be watching me from above....
