Final Letter

Priya is so upset today. Her best friend Raaj is so far from her. Today is her engagement with Dev. Raaj will make fun if he has been here but, he’s out of her reach. Tears came out of her eyes. Her Mom calls her many times, which she did not hear. Raaj flew away leaving his best friend. He didn’t inform Priya before going. First, she thought to call him and scold for his did. But don’t do so thinking that why should she call him? It’s his entire fault, he has to call her.

Raaj and Priya are good friends. Both of them have feelings, faith, and love for each other. But, when this friendship became unconditional love, it is out of their imagination. After complete graduation, both join in M.B.A. coaching and pursue M.B.A. in the same college.

One a certain day, while returning from college they met a friend of Priya. She talks to him for some time. After he left, Priya looked so upset. Raaj asked her “what happens to her’ but she did not reply.

Raaj asks again and again, then Priya was getting started with tears in eyes. There was a boy whom Priya loves very much, but he gets married to another girl. So she does not have faith in love today onward.

Tring Tring. Post Man. Priya wakes up from imagination. She took the letter from the postman and started reading.

Dear Sweet Friend,

Sorry, I could not meet you while coming here. Actually I want to say something to you, which I could not tell you before. So I’m writing you this letter.

I don’t know whether you remember it or not, that day when I saw your tears in your eyes for the first time. That night I also cried for the first time, as I also lost my love. After that, I tried to keep myself away from you, and I get the opportunity when I got this job. You remember Priya I proposed many girls in your presence, after that incidence. But actually I love you. I know that you are taking only as a good friend. Believe me, I also tried to taking you as my best friend but finally, I thought I’m cheating with myself. Because my heart became yours when I saw you for the first time. After listening your story, I have no confidence to propose you. I know Jully loves me, and you often say that’ love the one who loves you, she will make you happy. How ever, you will stay forever in my heart as my sweet friend.

Don’t mind, I’m becoming so emotional day by day.

Priya was shocked. Why Raaj did not propose her! If she just knew about his feeling she never let him go away from her life. Actually, she was thinking that Raaj was taking her as a good friend. There is no other option left as today is her engagement.

Suddenly her mobile rang. Sweta, Raaj’s younger sister calling. She said, ‘Hello Priya Dii, Raaj Bhai has met an accident. He’s just coming from Bhubaneswar railway station as he’s coming back today. Please come soon to Capital Hospital. He’s very serious.

Priya was getting started with her Scooty, Her Mom asked where she’s going? She told her everything. She also wanted to go with her. Both of them went to the hospital. Priya went to Raaj. He’s waiting for her with open eyes. The doctor checked and said he’s no more. Still, his eyes were opened.

Priya could say nothing, only eye full of tears explained her love for Raaj. She remembered those lines written by Raaj…
