Naddie was so upset after the loss of her beloved brother Loddy.

She was missing him badly and was in sheer state of depression. With her trembling hands, she folded them and started performing the last rituals of her brother by chanting the God’s name. After that she didn’t even had her dinner and went to sleep without eating.

Next day, her friends came to pay condolences. So the day passed in a fine way with them. Her friends made her eat the meals properly. But later at midnight, when everyone went away, Naddie went in her subconscious mind and then something strange happened. She heard a loud peculiar sound. In a subconscious state of mind, she saw the black snake in the long bushes some far away in the farms. And she got more shocked to see Loddy standing beside the snake and was playing with him.

With her trembling voice, she said “Loddy, are you serious? Is this really you?”

Loddy said, “Don’t be scared it’s me your little brother”.

“Please just come inside these bushes, we all will play together. Just trust me and meet your dear friend Hiss.” He named his snake as Hiss.

“Just Run. Just Run.” The voice said.

Naddie, “wait Loddy. Please wait”.

Loddy, “we are playing the running game. Chase me Naddie. Chase this snake Naddie.”

Naddie exclaimed while running behind him “it’s extremely dangerous. Who are you, tell me again.”

Loddy, “Come on Naddie. Let me take you to a special place, come with me.”

And all of a sudden there were showers, not of the rain, but the showers of money. This time Naddie went in her mythical state of mind wherein the brain develops cells of myths along with her subconscious mind. In her subconscious mind, she remembered her father once said that if anywhere in life you run behind the snake you will get money. You will become rich.

But suddenly, her inner voice stopped her and all her myths and sub consciousness got broken. She cried so heavily that this time she felt the droplets of water on her face and found herself lying in the balcony. She suddenly stood up, “was this all a dream or maybe I was in my deep thought.”

She then went straight to the bathroom and freshened up herself. She washed her face rigorously as if she had felt some dirt on it. She then realized her state of destitute since her brother was the sole breadwinner of the family and to fight this she started doing meditation. After 20 minutes of meditation, she found herself relaxed though the thoughts of her brother was still in her mind but this time she stood up in a more confident way, “I will earn, I will work hard to achieve our goals. Life goes on Naddie”, she said this to herself.

It is okay to not to be okay. Grief is a journey everyone travels at their own pace. It’s hard to turn the page when you know someone will not be in the next chapter, but the story must go on.
