Drops of Death

Samyuktha, a tall girl with well shaped posture, had long wavy black hair wearing an emerald green colored salwar was walking on foot on the roads of Netaji street with leaned legs. She saw a white board written "For Rent " in red letters. She moved towards it weary and rang the next door's calling Bell. A flabby lady came out of the house. They were speaking for the quarter hour. Finally! The lady wiped her tears and told,"I can help you financially but can't give my home for rent to you because I have two small kids, they will be afraid of you and I'm sorry ". She left the place with a great smile. Samyuktha came across another house for rent and rejected again. It was her 24th rejection.

She went to a medical shop to buy sleeping tablets. She came out the shop with a bottle of sleeping tablets. The emerald green salwar covering her head and red scarf tied to her face made her looks weird. She sat on the corner of the platform and removed the scarf from her face. Such a disgusting face. She touched her burned face, which had lot of untold scars.Her reconstructed nose looked antipodal, her ears was not completely sculptured and she can only see the world smudged. Samyuktha wiped her sob and thought about her burried past which burrired her face and life....

Before five years": 

When she was studying her 12th standard it was all happened then. A single accident changed her life completely. She was the only beautiful girl in her town. She came across a lot of proposals but she accepted none. She had an almond eyes with an Archy eyebrows, her lips was thin and Rosy even the words out of her lips was sweet. 

One day while going to home after school, she was raped by a gang of three, the villagers took her to the hospital and she was under care for a month or less. At once she came home, her family decided to file a case on the rapist. They consulted a well talented and experienced lawyer. The hearing date was nearing and the lawyer collected strong evidence against them. Somehow they came to know about the evidence. They discussed a lot and finally planned for an acid attack. A boy of 23 years from that gang threw an acid egg on her face while she came out of her home.

She shouted horribly no one neared her. Her dumfounded beauty vanished in the acid vapors. Her skin and organs started to melt. Have we ever tried to bear the pain when a drop of oil poped on you while cooking ? That pain is uncomparable to the pain which she bore. Her mesmerizing face has melted in the life ending liquid. But for her it was the least concern before her melting organs. Inspite of seeing the pain she suffered the boy crossed her by smirking at her. Then, as they wish the case was dropped and victims we're set free. The one who made the accident was living free as he wish but the girl who faced it was caged in her own room. What kind of society we are living in ??

At present:

Samyuktha and her family had agreed and undergone five plastic surgeries in the consequent years but in vain. Her father came to her one day and told,"samyuktha! As you know we became poor by losing all our money in the useless plastic surgeries. Your face has not even recovered! You have two younger sisters I should marry them to someone! No alliance is willing to marry them please get out of the home dear......" He ran out of the room crying terribly. So mercy!What a middle class father can do more than this ?? The 2k kids are not willing to marry a girl who's sister had faced rape or acid attack. Our cheapest soicety had already attended it's peak. It had planted prestige even in youngsters mind.

She left the home and searched a place to live and a job for food but she got only rejection. Everywhere she was rejected. Finally! She chose death because the death doesn't know beauty or prestige its neutral right!! Not those accidents and her family pushed her to death it is this society... Where she lived for 18 days after leaving her home. Those 18 days made her life unliveable not the rape or acid attack. Our society had killed a girl who came over a rape and acid attack only by it's look and gigglings.What a great society we are living in. There are millions of people living with her but no one is ready to help her to rebuild her life.... Be aware because this society can pull you to this situation in future!! 

 The society had already killed thousands of Samyukthas and now it's ready to kill thousands again.....
