Day 11 Of Staycation

Dear Diary,

Today is Day 11 of lock-down and of course, it is a weekend. Many things have changed, it really did not feel like a weekend at all. But still, it is a part of the lock-down and we need to accept and adapt to this lifestyle.

I knew many people are waiting for that Independence Day which lies on Apr 15(and not August 15). It is a kind of independence for us because of this 15 days lock-down. You guys would have planned many many big things on that day since you are going to roam around the world as a free bird. Throwing parties, meeting friends, watching movies on theaters, having dinner at restaurants, planning a long trip with family/friends - there would be so many things on your bucket to celebrate independence.

But you ought to remember one thing very clearly - CORONA is an epidemic. "Epidemic" means "a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time." So, it has spread to an entire community, and not just to a small region. We cannot assure that it will be eradicated completely on April 15 and we can have our daily routine as usual. NO!!! It is an epidemic and we never know who is infected with that deadly thing. So, what I really wanted to tell my readers is that the end is not April 15, it may be even earlier or even later. But to be on the safer side, even if the lock-down has ended, please be cautious, please don't take any chances, please take all the precautionary safety measures, please avoid going to the public places unnecessarily. You need not follow this for long, but at least for some time after the lock-down has ended. This is for your safety and for your surroundings. This is not a time to party but this is a time to avoid the community spread. If we are cautious for some more days, we can enjoy the future together forever. THINK and ACT.
