A very cool evening in the month of April (Summer). People walking around, kids playing at a distance, women chatting and youngsters chattering. A wonderful scene really. On a bench at a distance Vishi heard two men talking loudly about something . Out of the two One was a young man who might be in his early thirties and the other was an Older person who might be in his early seventies. Vishi silently walked around and sat on a bench nearer to where those two were sitting. He overhears the elderly man asking the younger person as to which was the bird perched on the grass and what was its name. He hears the younger man shouting at the elderly person as to dad how many times did I tell you it's name? You keep asking the same repeatedly. it is so irritating . He sees the younger man gets up and walks towards the gate of the park, followed by the elderly person. Vishi sees a faint trace of wetness in the elderly persons eyes and understands his hurt.       At that moment he recalls his own personal experience almost a similar one to what he had just then seen, and one which he had with his father many years ago.     


  Vishi and his father were sitting in the portico of their home. A small sparrow perched on the grass and was chirping away to glory. Vishi asked his father the name of the bird and kept on repeating the question again and again. His father was so pleased with his inquisitiveness. This was an incident that had happened many many years ago. As time flew Vishi grew up, completed his education secured a good job and settled by getting married too. One day Vishi and his father were sitting in their Portico as was the practice and his father noticed a tiny bird that was chirping and asked Vishi what might be it's name, Vishi answered and got busy with his mobile phone. Vishis father repeated the question again.


This irritated him and sort of snubs his father Who felt hurt. . He quietly gets up goes inside and gets a small diary that had many pages filled . He opens the diary and shows a page that had the mention as to the number of times Vishi had repeatedly asked one question to which his father had answered very patiently and he was so very pleased answering it for his sake. After reading the note Vishi felt so bad at his own behaviour and apologized for his rudeness. He promised to his father and himself that he would never ever repeat any such behaviour that might hurt his father or mothers feelings. He realized how valuable parents are and their feelings too.
