Brother's Best Friend (Chapter-7)

I was sitting at Kane's kitchen table, we were due to go to the beach with Jade and her bullshit friends. Kane walked back into the kitchen, his bag over his shoulder. I looked into the hallway, knowing Kat was upstairs, my dick went to a semi just thinking about it. I hadn't seen her all fucking week and it was killing me. 

"You ready?" Kane asked me, grabbing a bottle of water. 

"Yeah," I half stood up. "Why don't you ask your sister if she wants to come?" I asked, trying to be as casual as possible. Kane groaned, his head back. 

"Yeah, let me ask her." His voice sounded defeated. "I promised my mum I would be a good brother," he rolled his eyes, going to the hallway. "Kat! Come here!" He screamed and I stood, adjusting my trousers. I heard her footsteps and I took a breath in, I hope my dick didn't give me away here. 

"Yeah?" I heard her voice. 

"I and Luke are going to the beach, do you want to come?" He asked, sounding like he wanted her to say no. 

"Who is going?" I heard Kat ask. Jesus woman, get what I was trying to do here. 

"Jade and a couple of her friends," Kane responded. 

"Oh the bimbos, lovely. No thanks," Kat scoffed and I rolled my eyes. 

"Whatever, Luke wanted you to come anyway." Kane walked back into the kitchen, clearly pissed off. 

"Can I ask Alice?" Kat walked into the kitchen, her eyes flicking to me. 

"Yeah, whatever. We'll meet you there if you want to come." Kane shrugged. I followed him out of the house, I was driving and he sat in the passenger seat. 

"That wasn't so hard, was it?" I tried to chuckle, driving the short route to the beach. 

"She just fucking annoys me." Kane breathed out, looking out the window. 

"Why?" I asked. 

"She just has no get up and go. She just always depresses me, exactly like my dad." Kane looked down and I nodded. Right, I got it now. 

"Maybe if you were nicer to her she might be less depressing," I laughed. Kat was never depressed or sad with me because I wasn't a complete prick to her. 

"Yeah, I know. She just reminds me of my dad and it pisses me off. She's better than what she's doing you know?" Kane looked over at me and I nodded. 

"Yeah, I hear you," I mumbled. 

"Anyway," he slapped my arm as he chuckled. "Jade told me Bella said you kicked her out?! I forgot to even say it to you." He shook his head. 

"I didn't kick anybody out," I laughed. "I just told her to get a cab home. I told you nothing was going to happen." I pulled into the beach carpark. 

"So what did you do once she left? Just went to bed?" He looked confused and if I didn't fuck his sister I would try to get him to understand you could just go to sleep after a party, you didn't need to have sex with someone.

"Yeah, I cleaned the kitchen first." I chuckled, getting out of the car and opening the boot. 

"I don't get you sometimes," he laughed, grabbing his bag. "Bella is nice." We walked to our normal spot on the beach, opposite the car park. 

"It doesn't mean I have to have sex with her though. You don't have to fuck anything that gives you the attention you know." I looked at him, it was situations like this that made it obvious I was a tiny bit older than Kane. I suppose if I thought about it, I did have a lot of sex when I was twenty. Now I had a fucking job. 

"No, I know." He got his towel out, sitting on the edge. I passed him a beer from my bag, sitting on my own towel. "You're right, like this situation with Jade, I'm starting to think that she thinks she's my girlfriend." He shrugged, opening his beer.

"Yeah, women have a habit of thinking that when you continue to have sex with them. Just talk to her," I laid down, my hands behind my head.

"She's going to be so pissed," he tried to laugh. 

"Oh fuck yeah, however." I sat back up. "You don't have to be in a relationship with someone you don't want to. You don't like her that much?" I asked, staring at the side of his face. He looked super troubled about it, but I didn't have much sympathy. Kane really couldn't keep his dick in his trousers. 

"I'm going to sound like a dick," he looked at me and I chuckled, opening my beer. "But she's fun to be around, sex is good but I couldn't image her as my girlfriend." He told me honestly and I shrugged. 

"That's fair enough, but you need to tell her that before she's buying engagement rings." I took a gulp of beer. 

"Don't!" He groaned, half laughing. "I do hope Kat brings Alice though," he winked at me and I groaned, laying back down. 

"I'm not giving you advice on that one either." My phone vibrated in my pocket and I brought it to life. It was a text from Kat. Or K as she was saved in my phone. 

K: 'We're ten minutes away. X' 

I grinned like a dick as I stared at it. I was already trying to think of some bullshit reason I could have her alone as Kane brought me back. 

"Jade's here." I looked up to Jade, Bella and some other woman I had never seen. 

"Who's the other chick?" I asked Kane as he stood. 

"Marie, this will be interesting. Kat fucking hates her," Kane laughed and I sat up, my elbows on my knees. All three of them looked like carbon copies of each other, different shades of blonde all dressed in bikinis. 

"Hi boys!" Jade sang as she kissed Kane on his cheek. I tried not to laugh, waving at them. 

"Marie, this is Luke." Jade introduced us. 

"Nice to meet you," I said quietly, watching them place their towels down. I looked behind me, Kat where the fuck was you? 

"My sister is coming by the way," Kane said sitting next to Jade. 

"Oh, okay." Jade looked pissed and I caught Bella's eye as she looked me up and down. This was super fucking awkward and Bella probably had a good idea of me and Kat's relationship. "You know Kat don't you Marie?" Jade asked and I took another gulp of my beer. 

"Yeah, we used to play netball together." Marie smiled and I burst out laughing, Kane looking at me. 

"I didn't know Kat played netball?" I was so confused. 

"Yeah, not at school though. She was really good but then when she didn't get into university she just went." He motioned a bomb going off with his hands. "And she quit. Really shit actually," Kane sighed and for a second he actually looked upset. 

"Party has arrived!" I turned around, knowing that voice. Alice. 

"You have fucking vodka?" I asked Alice and Kat as they walked towards us. 

"Why not? It's a beautiful day!" Alice grinned. I looked at Kat, now unable to stand up. She was wearing a bright green crop top and matching shorts, her dark hair on the top of her head. Alice didn't look too bad either, wearing a one-piece, she had a better body than the triplets. 

"Hey," Kat said, nodding to the girls. 

"Hi Kat, you look good." Marie smiled, it looked genuine. 

"Thanks, so do you. This is my friend Alice, this is Marie and Jade. Sorry I don't know your name?" She looked directly at Bella. 

"It's Bella," she responded, her face like fire.

"Cool and you know Kane and Luke." Kat sat on my towel, getting cups out of her bag. 

"Music?" Alice asked. 

"Course!" Kat responded, a smile on her face. Kane looked confused and for a second I knew he was gobsmacked his sister could actually have fun. This was killing me in all honesty, I wish I hadn't suggested Kat come. I really wanted to put my arm around her, have her sit on my lap or just fucking kiss her, but I couldn't. Alice sat opposite Kat, on Kane's towel. 

"Drink? Oh, and why wasn't I invited to your birthday party!" Alice slapped Kane's shoulder. It was flirty as fuck and I loved it. 

"Please and I told Kat to invite you!" Kane responded. 

"Oh my god, you are full of shit!" Kat laughed, pouring me a vodka. 

"No mixer?" I asked her, moving my body next to her. She shook her head, the tip of her tongue on her top lip. 

"Nope," she whispered, turning back around. 

"Kat, I'm driving." 

"Oh, Luke you fucking bore! Leave your car here?" Alice asked, her tempo was through the roof and it was making me laugh. 

"Let me have this one and I will take my car back home," I said firmly. Jackpot! I could try and figure out a reason why Kat would come with me on this adventure. 

"Wicked and did Kane invite me or not?" Alice asked Kat, passing a drink to Kane. 

"Oh ladies, does anybody want vodka?" Kat asked. 

"No, I'm not a fan of day drinking," Jade scoffed. 

"Shame," Kat chuckled, turning back around to Alice. "No, he didn't. We're too old, remember Alice!" Kat cackled. 

"She's lying!" Kane laughed. "She didn't want you there." He shrugged. I smiled watching Kat and Kane laugh with each other. He was clearly taking my advice and not being a prick to her, it really helped Kat's actual personality shine through. 

"We're going in the water, come with us Kane," Jade giggled and it was then I remembered the three women were with us. Kane stood up, his face told me he didn't really want to go in the water but I could see he was torn. 

"Yeah, let's go," he said softly. I watched the four of them walk to the shoreline. 

"So, how am I going to fuck your brother? Luke, any advice?" Alice cackled and I turned to her.

"You're doing a good job so far." 

"You two need to tell Kane, by the way. I can see you want to touch each other." Alice rolled her eyes and I looked at Kat.

"She knows?" I whispered.

"Yeah, sorry. I couldn't help myself." Kat looked at me, a worried expression on her face. 

"It's cool," I shrugged. I didn't actually mind. "It's super complicated Alice," I told her, moving my hand to the base of Kat's back. My hand on her soft skin wasn't helping my semi and I let out a groan. 

"I know." Alice sighed. "You make a cute couple, don't let Kane stop that." Alice looked at us, draining her vodka. I ran my hand up and down Kat's back, her hand came closer to my leg and Alice was right, if it was just the two of us her crop top would be on the beach somewhere. 

"They're coming back," Alice spat out and I moved my hand, sitting crossed-legged. "Kat, let's see how long it takes for us to make them uncomfortable." Alice laughed. 

"Alice, stop." Kat rolled her eyes but with humour in her voice. I watched Kane sit back down next to Alice, she wiggled close to him and Kat chuckled, looking at me. 

"She's so obvious," I whispered. 

"Yep," Kat spoke, moving her head back as the women sat down. 

"How long are you and Alice, you said. Staying?" Bella asked and I felt the tension rise. 

"Until Kane goes back home I suppose," Kat shrugged. 

"What are you doing with your life now Kat? Kane tells us you didn't go to university." It was Marie talking now and I wanted to jump off a cliff.

"I'm a waitress," Kat breathed out. 

"Oh, what a shame." Marie smiled, it was fake as fuck and Alice cleared her throat. 

"Shame? I'm a waitress too. Nothing wrong with that, pays the bills," Alice shrugged, looking at Kat. 

"Yeah, it will do." Kat's voice was quiet and I was racking my brain for something to say. 

"If you say so," Jade smirked, running her hands through her hair.

"That's enough," Kane said forcefully and I sat up straighter. Oh, here we go.

"Sorry?" Jade asked, staring at him. 

"She's my fucking sister last time I checked. Not sure why you're all being bitches." Kane was pissed and I was slightly enjoying this. 

"I'm not being a bitch," Marie said, her hand to her chest. 

"You kind of are, you aren't better than Kat or Alice." It was my turn to jump in now. They were acting like twelve years olds, well like twelve-year-old bullies. 

"Kane!" Jade screeched, her face going red. "I'm your girlfriend!" I nearly burst out laughing. This was not going to end well.

"You aren't. And even if you were, Kat's my sister." Kane stood up, collecting Jade's things and putting them back in her bag. 

"What are you doing?" She asked, standing. 

"I think it's time for you and the wicked witches to leave," Kane said firmly. 

"It's fine Kane, we'll go," Kat spoke as she went to stand. I put my hand on her arm, shaking my head.

"You aren't going anywhere. I'll see you around Jade." Kane handed her the bag, sitting back down with Alice. 

"Are you serious?" Jade asked her face pure shock. 

"Deadly. Alice top me up," Kane said, handing Alice his cup.

"Yes sir," Alice giggled, filling the cup with vodka, a look of glee on her face. I watched Kat attempt to stifle her giggle. 

"See you later," I waved to the three women as they picked up their towels, and marched off the beach. 

"Kane, fucking hell!" I laughed. I was proud of him, he usually prioritised pussy over most things.

"They were annoying, bringing down the vibe." Kane looked at me, with a small smirk. 

"Alice, come in the water with me." He spoke, standing up and grabbing her hand. 

"I'm going to drop my car off," I stood, brushing down the sand off my trousers. 

"Take Kat, I don't want her sitting on her own," Alice said, being dragged by Kane. Kat stood, shaking her head at Alice.
