I became aware of the soft lights of the dawn. I became aware of the myriad of sounds. I became aware of the neurons firing in my mind. I became aware that the country is being ripped. I am aware that the COVID is almost reaching a daily count of one hundred thousand. I am aware that the government has lost track and its sense of direction. I am aware that the intruder at the border has come to stay. I am aware that our participation in the Russian circus is not helping one bit. I am aware that not only COVID but our intruder is here to stay for some time to come.

I am aware that media is obsessed with Bollywood tales. I am aware that the new Queen is challenging the dynasty queen. I am aware that the country side story is not all that real. I am aware that nearly eighty- one crores people are on subsistence ration. I am aware that the parliament is soon going to have its monsoon session with a weakened opposition. I am aware that the questions will not be asked and the bills will be passed like an average accountant does. I am aware that the accountability book has been closed. I am aware that the RTI is not helping much. I am aware that the Delhi Police is charge sheeting the wrong persons. I am aware that the justice system has been turned into mute mode.

I am aware that the stock marketers are having the happiest of the minds. I am aware that the IPL will be played soon to help the bored bunch of cricketers, marketers and the millions thirsting for entertainment. I am aware that the FCRA clearances are being given for building religious structures. I am aware that the PM CARES too has FCRA clearance. I am aware that institutions such as CBI and ED have become hand maidens. I am aware that there is hardly anything that I am not aware.

Yet,

I refuse to get out of my bed. I refuse to protest on the streets. I refuse to raise my voice. I refuse to leave my comforts of my home. I take comfort in zen philosophy that this too shall pass. I have become a believer and am awaiting the Avatar to descend and rescue the country. One of the myriad Hindu Gods will come or the Jesus Christ superstar will yet be borne in a cow shed or the mighty Allah will rise in the East. I refuse to believe that the voters in Bihar are not aware of all these happenings. I refuse to believe that a new Chanakya will not arise in Bihar. I refuse to believe that Didi will give up easily, but fight like a tigress to protect Bengal. I will await my turn and till then let me enjoy the comfort of my bed.

Yet,

Lazily I want Ambani and Adani to corporatize the governance of this country. Let us all have all the happiest of minds, may be one Soota can assist the ‘A’ces. If not the mythical unicorns among certain start-ups can. Let the politicians be given a moratorium for their activities. Let us let loose our police to encounter these politicians if they do not obey the new rules.

Do not disturb me from my slumber. Wake me up when it is my turn to press the button, which I shall do diligently. Until then do not burst my dream bubble. Believe in Him, the good days will come.
