An Autobiography of a Dog Embracing My Disabilities
An Autobiography of a Dog Embracing My Disabilities
My name is Jimmy and I was born in a litter of five puppies in the house of Mr. Sam where my mother was a pet dog. I was sad because unlike my brothers and sisters I was born handicapped andi couldn't run or jump. When we were just a few months old , my siblings were sold in good families and I was left alone in the home with my mother.
One day, a boy named Rocky came to my master's house and wished to buy me even after knowing about my physical disability. I was surprised. Years rolled down when I came to know that Rocky too was handicapped with his one leg since his birth. Rocky took me to his house where I was welcomed with lots of love by everyone. The young boy's parents Mr. and Mrs. Nohara took a very special care of me. I was happily staying with my new family.
Years passed by. Rocky and I became best friends. Rocky taught me that we can be happy inspite of our physical disability. I also learnt that one can be handicapped physically but not by mind, heart and soul. I also sensed that the world is full of people who need someone to understand us.
