Amritmanthan: Part 1

“Keep quiet!” said the masked man, shutting the door against my face.

I was kidnapped while I was waiting for my school bus to come and was locked in a 2 by 2 room with just a window for ventilation.

I held the bars of the window and its frame moved. I pushed it gently and the bars along with the frame fell down. The window was large enough for me to escape.

I jumped out from the window and started running to escape from the deep forest in the full moon night with extraordinary brightness. I was exhausted after a while, so, I stopped to breathe when a meteorite hit a tree a couple of yards away from me.

I was shocked when I looked up; the sky was full of falling meteorites and weird constellations. I started running again to find a place to hide.

I had just run a few yards when I found that my feet were not touching the ground. A griffin was holding me by his feet and flying me through the sky. It threw me in a hollow volcano where I landed unharmed.

“Welcome, Varun. Time has come for making a compromise and you to do your duty.” a man standing next to me whispered in my ear. I turned to see who he was but he snapped his finger and I was suddenly transported to an island.

I looked around but there was no clue of life except for water all around.

“Oh! God Help me” I screamed and started crying.

A trail of land appeared abruptly out of nowhere which was leading to a bright black cavity.

I started walking towards it and with every step, the covered trail was disappearing.
