The Machhar Party

In Oct 1994 election time in Vallabhnagar Institute of Technology in Vallabhnagar sea face village which is one of the famous Engineering college where 1000 students apply in a year and 100 students gets selected.

Election was conducted to choose the students committee and to become member of students committee was the tough task, as the member of Students committee had a special rights to manage finance in cultural fest and also on behalf of male college, they used get chance to talk the girl students.

The famous leader Rohit Gupta, college student of fourth year has arranged a party to win contest of election of students committee. Rohit Gupta basically from Lakhnow, UP who speaks fluently Hindi, but poorly English. He has a long nose but he speaks in a whiny tone sounded like the buzz of Mosquito, called as a Machhar. And Rohit never opposed this nick name although he enjoyed and he became popular in the college, and contesting successfully fourth year election.

Each party has a right ti select 3 candidates for election of student members committee. General secretary, Cultural scretory and literary and debate secretary. In this Rohit was undoughtly member of General Secretary and the candidates for two post was yet to be chosen.

VNIT is the national level college where students were from across India, so party had appeal to both Hindi and English speakers as south students could understand only English.

So, cultural secretary Amit Sharma was chosen by Machhar, who talks Hindi fluently, whose Nick name was Lambu, had a height of 6feet was nice contrast to 5feet Machhar.

And Shriniwas Rao, Srini was selected for Literary and Debating Secretary who was intellectual.

Machhar party now set for Paty Motto and Manifesto for election.

For Party motto Machhar Party decided to arrange meeting at Canteen as it is a silent place after classes,to avoid interrupt of Rivals.

Shrini, Machhar, and Lambu sat finally for meeting in canteen comfortably.
