A Ray Of Hope

   Megha had always been a strong-willed and determined young woman. She had excelled in her studies and had dreams of making a difference in the world. So when she got married to Abhishek, the son of Pratap and Madhuri Roy, a couple who were known for their social work in the community, she was excited at the prospect of being part of a family that shared her values.

However, soon after she moved in with her in-laws, Megha realized that things were not as she had imagined. She discovered that her in-laws did not follow their own ideology at home. They had been working to save girl children, but when Megha became pregnant, they wanted her to undergo a sex determination test. Megha was shocked and upset by their request. This was against her values, and she could not bring herself to go along with it.

Megha's opposition to the test created tension in the family. She cried and pleaded with her husband to help her, but he was caught between his love for his wife and his loyalty to his parents. As Sikha grew up, Megha poured all her love and energy into raising her. She taught her daughter the values of justice, equality, and compassion.
