A Hard Name

Once upon a time, a girl named Brucli was born in the village Pataudi. Her name was so funny and awkward, that whenever she tells her name to anyone, the person bursts out laughing. The story behind her name was that, her father was a huge fan of Bruc-lee. So he wanted to one of his child to be named “Bruce-lee”, but her nick name was “Asha”. So, whenever anyone asks her name she always thought twice before telling her real name and after a pause she says my name is “Asha”. Her dream was to become a teacher and to achieve her goal she enrolled herself for B-Ed.

On the first day of the class her teacher was reading her name for attendance, she by mistake called her name “Barshali instead of Brucli”. At that moment only she decided, that she will keep her name Barshali. Whenever anyone calls out her name Burshali she promptly corrects them that her name pronunciation is Barshali not Burshali”. When she became a teacher and her principal called her name to praise her, he said “I want to thank Burshali ma’am” she quickly stood up and said “Sorry sir its pronunciation is Barshali The principal said “Okay! Barshali it’s all right! No matter you are an amazing teacher”. She decided that she want a baby girl and wanted to give her a beautiful, extraordinary name and god listened to her. She blessed with a girl and gave her name “Chitrakshi” (meaning beautiful eyes). The girl Chitrakshi is also having a hard name like her mother & she is having specs & the girl Chitrakshi is me only & the story was of my mother.
