Every man's nightmare is to wake up from a high impact adrenaline dream, to see its reality. Literally running in place as I lay in my top bunk. Sweat drenched my body. Heart pumping full of adrenaline. It felt oh so real. Running full speed as I made my sweet getaway from the police chasing me in the heat of the night. By little surprise, I had much better luck in my dream than I did in real life. Here I am stirring a cup of coffee, freshly heated in the microwave.

My trip home from the Casino didn't go all that well. Thought my luck was bad at the Casino, never knew it would get worse before I ever made it home. Problem is I didn't make it home. Naturally Casino's are full of high risk takers and gamblers. Should of known better to hitch a ride with these dudes that live not to far from where I stay. Neighboring cities. Little did I know how much trouble this presumably innocent ride would turn out to be on a highway straight to hell. Driving in the early hours of the morning, a moment before sunrise. Naturally the Super Troopers that patrole the main roads were up early and collectively waiting on the side for the first sting of the day. Just my luck that first piece of action had to be the vehicle I was in. The bright blue lights didn't bother me as I just left the Casino of glitz and glamor. All the bells and whistles blaring. Thought to be a normal procedure, license and registration. Cops write a handful of tickets stating multiple violations. Then it's have a nice day. Yet, this was no normal routine traffic stop.

Quickly I found myself standing in front of these massive police vehicles along side the company that was in the car. Thoroughly searched, we stood watching a K-9 circle the car. No surprise, without alerting, the Cops announce the dog alerted for contraband. Not thinking nothing of it. Figure this is just routine as well. Police milking the clock, passing the time. Moments were spent digging in the car, nothing. Lastly they pop the trunk and proceeded to finish the search. Suddenly I am bushed by officers and cuffed. My mind is clueless, not having a clue what was the drastic change of situation was all about. In my ears I can hear my rights being read to me. This is not my first rodeo. This can not be good. Handcuffed, I am hauled off to investigation. A filthy pit if I ever saw filth. This so called investigator is intensely viewing over these papers. Harassment is all this guy's body language speaks.

He asks a question of sort. Demanding an answer. One I won't deliver. Which only makes this hostile man more angry. Who am I the magical man that gives all the answers. I think not. I have my own problems to be putting my nose in business where it don't belong. So when they ask this, that and the third about situations I have no clue about or care about, then so be it. What are they going to do, lock me up and throw away the key? Yep, no answers to the questions got me a one way ticket to prison. It would be one thing if I was getting locked up for a crime committed. It's another nightmare being thrown in the can for fools that were hanging around. I sure know how to pick a group of guys. Seems like I gravitate to the biggest knuckle heads to ever exist.

Of course I am pissed off at these fellows. I am being brought to prison because at least one if not both were too coward to own up to their mistakes. Now, along with them I fall off the face of Earth into the underground dungeon. My nerves shot, as soon as I catch a chance I relieve a bit of stress on the bigger ones face. A few punches left his nose broke and eye swollen shut. Not to mention my hand looking like a marshmallow. Is what it is, I'd never feel complete if I didn't do that. Screw me, of course it's screw you. The guards in the jail separate us. Wake up in this cave full of strangers. Day one, nightmare was my reality.

This my friend is how I start my journey. What was suppose to be an innocent night of guilty gambling at the Casino, has me in a jail cell. Guilty until proven innocent. That's the American way. From here it's a long road home. One thing is for sure, it's survival for the fittest. Not only physically fit but all around mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Me, no matter where I go, I will always find my way. A wise man once taught me a powerful lesson, stay secure with who you are and be true to yourself and everything will be okay. So here we go again, blood, sweat and tears. As I fight for my life, as I fight my case for my freedom.
