YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION
YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION
I saw you many times writing late into night
Often in dim light, not to disturb anyone, including me
Then I not know, you were creating words of wisdom, master pieces
Your trembling hands, wrinkled skin, testimony to your collected experiences
Put on paper for eternity
Your childhood memories, well chronicled
Your perception of the world well elucidated, as if to provide future references
Every object, your subject of poetry
Your love and trust in humanity
Many Odes to divine, the odds you came across
Laurels and humiliations
Missed opportunities
Your resolve to emerge from ashes
Soaring high into the skies
The losses you overcame, the investments you made in human relations
Every poem touching the heart
I often wonder, is it a biography of human race
Writing came to you natural like a fish to waters
What else do I need, an Inspiration, to take up writing though not your and my profession
Thank you for allowing me to walk in your foot steps, though tiny
One day, sure I will catch up, though not so elegant
I am fully aware an imitator can never surpass the original
You are the creator, me created
Thank you once again for the inspiration
