Yellow
Yellow
Vin Gogh’s Sunflowers were plaited
into a scented, oil rope.
It’s strands teasing her spine.
Her face, a soliloquy of cool.
Panda eyes behind fly-eye sunglasses,
60’s French cinema chic, pouts between puffs.
Chain smoking a pack of Gauloises.
A perennial primrose in Capri pants
and yellow tee.
Swaying along the boulevard.
Stopping coffee being sipped,
And bagels being bitten,
She is the thief of their attention.
Kitten heels playing chopsticks,
Stabbing sun-kissed pavements,
Her simple act of walking,
Is poetry in motion.
