Writer's Hand
Writer's Hand
My fingers weak
My mind slow
Hair all gray no
No fancy styles
No trips to the saloon
As I used to
The pen still inks away
The words I want to say
If only I could stay
Just a little longer
I can write some more
Hoping to write
Till my last breath
Befor they take me away
My love should never die
My passion should love forever
These words I write
And want to say
Should be read
But someone somewhere every day
Where ever you go
However far or near
I should be on every show
With a beautiful display
Of all my work
So others can see read and share to
Let my knowledge be shared
Let others learn to
Do not be scared
I may not be there
Neither round I be here
But let my legend live on
I have done my work
And ha
ve done my time
Now I am old
Weak and feeble
I must go
I have written a lot
And someday you would look back
And remember the day you said I should not
But do not worry
Do not fear
I have lived a simple
Humble life
And so I would go
Remember me as I am
Simple humble and a smile that shines
Even in my absence
Let it be your light
And let it shine all the days of your life
So now I write
Until I cannot hold
The pen no more
So when you hear a pen drop
Know it's me that
Just finished my last word
And their ends my final chapter
Then you'll know
That this Author
A rising Poet
And knowledgeable Novelist
Has taken her last breath
And said her last word
The day the pen fell
Then I had to go
