But be thankful for your parents

Who gives birth to you the gift of life 

Be thankful to your brothers and sisters

Who grew up with you and stood by you

Be thankful for all the aunties and uncles 

Grandpa and grandma 

Cousins and friends who stood by you

Be thankful for all the joy the happiness

The smiles and laughter you share

Be thankful for the wounds

The pain the burden you carry

It is what made you a better person 

Stronger and wiser it made you

Be thankful to God for all his mercies 

Be thankful for the air we breathe

The sun that shines so bright

Be thankful for each day 

The moon that gives light at night

The rain gives us water to drink

Be thankful for nature

Be thankful for all the natural beautiful things in this world

Be thankful for the meal we eat each day 

Be thankful with no expectations

Kneel and pray and be thankful every day
