Women With Wings
Women With Wings
I am a butterfly,
Who got wings to fly,
They believed that I’ll learn to love the cage,
Until they saw my rage,
Furious enough to cut through your net,
Empowered enough to make you regret,
They told me that we are quiets,
But I knew how to take my voice to heights,
I rise, and soar through the sky,
Because I’m unstoppable and sly,
I am not someone who follows the lead,
I am the one to lead, and make you plead,
They tried to show me how much society was unhappy,
I won’t fall for their tricks so crappy,
I’m a butterfly and not a flea,
They tried to catch me, snatch me and scratch me,
But all that I knew was to break free.
