WINTER FOG
WINTER FOG
The white smokey curls invoke me with its feathery serendipity...
I felt heaven descended in it's easygoing vanity...
Unwittingly I whooped up and admired in awe...
And thought I was showered in its uncanny blessings...
Loads and loads of this silvery mist flowed...
Alluring me in its whitish glow...
And I... didn't even know...
I ran and chased to its infinite state, nothingness in view...
Until I realised I was lost in its never ending hue...
I couldn't find the way and the means to return...
I knew I had drifted astray in that foggy demure...
And then I laughed at myself...
Knowing well that I too was indulged in its wayward reverie...
And that I was lost in the dense winter fog...
The chill scraped my skin, made me come to my sense,
I shuddered at it's impact, and startled at
the hiemal....
I grimaced at the thought of where it lead me...
And a fool I had been... deluded in it....
And so I looked up incisively for that small yellow dot...
Cause' now I missed the sun, I missed it's warmth...
Cause' I am still standing in the dense winter fog...
The winter vibes still ensnarls my mind, the foggy shadows still deluding my sight....
I know I need to persist till the very end... to get out of this beguile state...
So now that I know the truth, it's fancy is getting a clearer look...
The white heaven is slowly vanishing... leaving a smoky trail and a desolate look....
A reminder of how winter fog was illude... and how my soul was lost for sure...
Yet... winter taught me another lesson... to not get captured in its alluring nature...
The winter fog was both enchanting, cold and blue...
