Why Do I Write

I write because I must,

To calm the demons in my soul,

In my chest, there is an evergrowing hole,

Need more words to make it whole,

There is no salvation or hope,

For the gods are dead,

And the angels have bled,

Reality is harsh and true happiness is a farce,

There is a throbbing pain in my brain,

Everything I do seems to be in vain,

Make it stop, make it go away,

Nothing I can do,

I have absolutely no clue,

Need to make it through another day,

For now, that's all I have to say.
