WHAT AN IRONY!

WHAT AN IRONY!

1 min 502 1 min 502

She carries the embryo again.

Unwillingly, with no hope of being mother,

Husband is less excited, in-laws are in waiting zone.

None are blessing her to give birth a healthy one,

She is just a carrier of the family's future generation.

The unborn baby's birth is not at the mercy of divine,

If not male, it'll be definitely cleaned by midwife.

The mother is silent, emotionally detached,

Three months, only then, to feel joy of being blessed.

For last two years, she has been a subject to butchery,

Lost her courage; her screaming, her protest are customary.

The torture as 'miscarriage' is always informed to her parent,

She is threatened to be left alone if refuses to act as puppet.

This has been and will be the scenario of our country,

If people remain merciless, deal with cruelty.
