Wake up!

The alarm clock is buzzing, time ticking away

When will we wake up and mend our ways

The glaciers are melting, the rivers shrinking,

Soon the land will be arid, what are we still thinking?

The forests are receding, wildlife getting extinct,

When will saving them become our instinct?

Our oceans are covered in plastic and oil spills,

How many more marine life will our ignorance kill?

The air has become toxic, our children wear mask,

Isn’t leaving them a better world our task?

There is still time and hope, to get back earth in shape,

Wake up and get going, lest nature leaves no escape!!
