Waiting for the rain

I was at my window 

Looking at the sky

It was very hot at that time 

The Earth started to cry 

All the animals and the birds 

Resting under a tree 

The Sun was shining brightly 

No one was roaming free 

I was waiting for the rain 

And so did others 

For a cool and gloomy atmosphere 

And full of colours 

The trees looked pale 

And the plants dried 

Crops also withered 

And the farmers cried 

When the rain will come 

The Earth will be gay 

All will be happy 

And it will make a good day
