VACATION

For an infant struggling to crawl, sit, and walk,

His stay in his mother's womb was a vacation,

For a student slogging through school and college,

His infant years were a vacation,

For a young person desperately hunting for a job,

His student days were a vacation,

For a young bachelor bogged down with an office routine,

His youthful, carefree days were a vacation.

For a newly married man tied to family life, 

His bachelorhood days were a vacation,

For a young parent of a newborn with further responsibilities,

His newly married days were a vacation,

For a middle-aged parent of grownup children with worries about their future,

His early parenting days were a vacation,

For an elderly parent whose children have grown up and moved away,

His days with his children were a vacation,

For an old man who lost his spouse and life partner,

His married days were a vacation,



Lastly, but not least,
