Unwanted Guests
Unwanted Guests
More than my eyes
My heart cries
It fears, what’s coming next
And so it timidly tears
As it welcomes the unwanted guests
Depression and anxiety are their names’
They invade the heart that is your home
And mischievously play a very mean game
2-1, you are made to lose alone
They tell me “We’re here for you”, don’t worry
That I don’t need anyone else
They’re here to stay, there is no hurry
Pat. Pat. So Do I even need myself?
Like unwanted weeds and vines, they grow
With their need to take over, expressed
In my blood, weed killers flow to only kill me though
So the unwanted guests leave me disordered and depressed too
