UNTASTED FLAVOUR OF LIFE
UNTASTED FLAVOUR OF LIFE
An ice cream seller with pedals never at rest,
Making all taste life's sweet delight.
Ice cream held no charm for his little ones.
Their grumbling tummies wish only for filling meals.
He never lets his foe above, staring down
To make his icy hopes encased, drip down.
The frozen treat is secure in a trunk,
But he arrives with a melting forehead.
The smiles and the glowing eyes of young lives
stream out of homes, with chinks of little coins, in merry.
He scoops not just ice into colorful cones
But joy into hearts, flavor into salivating mouths.
He flies around spilling broad smiles
And serving delight, with every scoop.
He adds taste and hues to lives vivid,
Yet in his heart, he's lost his flavor.
Selling joy for innocent smiles
Blooming on faces, young and old
He, content with their happiness,
Can't find his own when the sun goes down.
He comes cycling his growing toil and strife,
Live's joys and shades, lost in the grind of life.
The jingle of his bell rings joy in every dwell,
But his own life, still a recipe left untasted.
