Unspoken love
Unspoken love
He loved her from the days of youth,
In laughter bright, in silent truth.
But every time his heart would cry,
His lips stayed quiet, afraid to try.
Not fear of no, nor love denied,
But losing her, he could not abide.
For friendship so strong, so pure, and true,
Was all he had, and all he knew.
She saw in him a faithful friend,
A bond unshaken, free to bend.
But never knew, behind his eyes,
A love unvoiced, a heart that sighs.
Every day he waited, every day he remained,
As destiny its wicked plan had arranged.
For she had offered love,
To another, far too far away.
A love concealed, yet full of pain,
A heart that spoke, but all in vain.
For some, love shines and finds its way,
For others, lost—left to decay.
