Abstract

Unapologetically Me

Unapologetically Me

Why did you carve me into a statue,

flawless, untouched, free of dust,

I am human,

I carry storms within me, cracks, and questions

Every mistake you named a sin,

every tear a weakness,

every silence a crime,

but when will you understand,

I am a breathing truth too

Why should I wear the guilt you handed me,

why should I live with a punishment

I never asked for

I am incomplete, and that is my wholeness,

perhaps cracked, perhaps shattered, perhaps blurred,

yet my flaws are my awareness,

my falling is what teaches me to rise

If without you the world feels like a void,

even in that emptiness, my echo remains,

unapologetically me, I stand in my truth,

I will not bend before illusions anymore,

I may be imperfect,

I am my own.
