Travelling In The Golden City Of India

The unknown faces,

Smiling at my gestures,

Welcoming my entry,

I roamed in the villages of the desert,

Eating the rajma,

Breaking the onions with my hand and biting in between, 

The lunch is delicious,

Evening at Gadisar lake,

Peace in mind, 

Roaming in the sand dunes,

My face filled with the sand dust,

Like sunscreen,

The deer running,

Camels crossing the roads,

Visiting the places,

For authentic dishes,

Tasting the churma,

Stopping at the corner shop in Jaisalmer fort,

For buying Ghotua ladoo,

Walking down the road,

With the smells of samosa & kachori around the streets,

Meeting those foreigners,

Explaining how dosa is made,

The blind musician,

Who is playing an instrument,

Bikes for rent,

Hunt for the tents,

You and me,

Watching the lights,

Counting the moments,

In the Maru Mahotsav,
