To Expect The Unexpected

There's never been a time 

If there was, 

Not one that I can recall.

When I took a leap, 

Not expecting to fall

Not wanting to bang my head against the wall.

Not dropping the ball.

Ever making the right fucking call.

Feeling fantastic,

To spite it all.

Made a connection,

That I expected to keep.

Fell asleep,

Without counting sheep.

Felt an emotion that wasn't too deep.

Thought about love, 

Without wanting to weep.

That I Felt complete.

When hearing her name, 

Hasn't made my heart skip a beat.

That I didn't wish I meant more,

To those I'd give my life for. 

That I've ever been sure,

Or felt completely secure.. 

In knowing what in the fuck

Is worth living for?

When something I touch,

Didn't turn to shit.

That I wasn't trying to force, 

Something that didn't fit.

Lie to my myself, 

Or try to forget.. 

Truths that I can't bring myself to admit.
