Time And I
Time And I
Human body is a slave of Time.
Running with Time in the stadium of life
So, I always warn myself --
Not to be old in mind,
Lest sign of old-age permanently mark
On my eye-lid, forehead and cheek.
Get up early in the morning --
I drench my feet with morning dews
Walking on the grass.
I practice 'yoga' and 'pranayam'
Every morning.
Sometimes I feel a romantic fervour
Remembering compliments of
My friends' wives --
'You stand still on the age of twenty-five.'
They tell slightly more than the truth.
My mind is not a slave of Time,
I'm yet a tender-aged boy in mind
And will remain so till I die.
