This Road
While walking down the road all I could see was black,
Through the lights of the torch, I started my journey,
Soon the battery was dead,
It was no moon's day and the light was none,
All I could trust was my eyes,
Don't know how and when I entered into a jungle,
I lost my way through the bushes,
All I could hear was the hissing sound,
I prayed to God and kept on moving,
On stopping, I might become someone's prey,
It was still an hour to go since daylight breaks,
After walking a few kilometers I felt thirsty,
Sudden thunder and rain showed me the way,
God gave me lights of thunder and water to drink,
I was under God's lights from the dark again,
It was he who held my hands tight,
It was deadly black and I would have moved towards my end.
