Since a child,
neither lightened candles
nor gave a party
as the clock ticks 12
as the page turns up
it's just another day
until her only wish came true on her day
Once a lifeless day turned into the most auspicious day
As fate has its play,
A celebration of completeness didn't last long
in a blink of an eye, landed in a vacuum
On her day, every year,
with endless morning prayers
and endless self-talks
stays stoic till the clock ticks 12
with eyes full of tears
loneliness as her only company
slips into darkness and repeats!
Perhaps, today isn't her other day
May the cosmos show mercy
and bring back her completeness
and embrace the sign of her only love!
