They Don’t Fall Silent

They Don’t Fall Silent

The voices in my head,

Start talking when I lay on my bed.

I try to ignore what they have to say,

To disturb me, they always find a way.

Be it a night, be it a day,

They always manage to stay.

 My temperament is their prey,

They try to lead it astray.

Emerging from the dark corner of my mind, Around new and fresh thoughts they bind.

Aiming to turn a corrupted thought into action, Masquerading the end as total satisfaction.

They roar louder than thunder,

Leaving my mental state asunder.

The voices spar with my mind,

Leaving new scars behind.

Morals keep my head in the right place,

Then positive thoughts are what I embrace.

Though they have won countless battles so far,

But I cannot let them have an upper hand in the final war.
