Excruciating, pen scribbled
Intense a puzzle, mind troubled
A thought trudged through
Why me? I mumbled
Articulate no enough words, I but say
Year hear me anyway
A decade's end, were you
Why you pass this way?
The year, it said
An achievement cosmic
Wrenching limits, you saw
Test of patience, you overcame
The year, it said
Amongst graceful grins
Inner moments so fragile, you saw
A heartful love, you gained
The year, it said
Through sweat tears rolling off
Walking eggshell fear paths, you saw
Immeasurable strength, you attained
The year, it said
Whispers of dread, shivers short breaths it sent
A crumbling helpless incapability, you saw
Reformed mental integrity, you conquered
The year, it smiled
You have grown, my child
Within all of you,
You yourself made you shine
You have made it this far
Adversaries pass
