The World Is A Mirage
The World Is A Mirage
Little innocent eyes looking for mirages everywhere
Envisioning the enigma in the magical tales we share
Inside the mind felt the warmth of land,
Hands filled with the smell of sand
Myriads of nights sunk in the dreams of dunes,
Demure mind listening to the mystery tunes
The mind was gawking at the sight of the lake,
Imagined the storms with a shudder and shake-
Awakening amidst the hot arid plains,
Plodding to see the wonder mirages contain.
Now when I see the globe around,
Mirages everywhere make me astound
Difficult to find a path of truth
Lessons of faith to be learned from ruth
Deluding the verities to make us believe,
Like a handful of sand kept in a sieve
Take me back to the age of seeds,
Here in this world, my heart would bleed
Barren was the lands but full of glitter,
All the magnetism kept the mind in a jitter
Oh mighty!
I did try to build love and bliss,
But the pieces,
They have something amiss
