The Warmth And The Chill

The Warmth And The Chill

What a time that was

That gale and that gaze!

With you by my side.

As I’d nothing to hide.

What moonlit night that was

You lead my soul, while

Leaves flowered our walk

And you let your silence talk.

What starry night that was

Priceless evening: that’s what it was.

Akin to those gliding birds we saw,

Flew away our inhibitions and flaws.

What a time that was

With your eyes lost in mine.

My limitless love pouring—Touché.

Submissions: all I can purvey.

That the wind had the chill.

That the gaze had the thrill.

Still, the chill had the warmth.

In you, I found my true north.
