A Place to Be

That day I set to explore:

A place not far off the shore;

A place that I had gone to before;

The place that had a lot on offer and more.

Actions and words—O’ so sweet.

Outcomes as definite as concrete.

Thoughts, purest, nothing less than neat.

Countless faces ready to greet.

I wandered just as I’d in a forest.

My reflections, all cultured and august.

Unwarranted was nothing. Nothing, but the best.

There I was, at my own behest.

Roamed, did I, all-around in glee.

As contended as I could be.

Creative, it was, of the highest degree.

Being one with oneself—now, that’s the key.

There, it wasn’t so hard to find!

It was, after all, within my mind.

You, too, have it, but not of the same kind.

Go there, once in a while, to relax and unwind.
