The Vicious Fight
The Vicious Fight
A Monday it was, to school I was reluctant to go
I wore my shoes, packed my lunch,
Since everything I did was sleepily slow,
My van driver gave me a punch
As I arrived at school, I let out a groan
The first-period maths as mundane as it was
My teacher taught interests and loans,
While my friends and I played catch and toss
Finally it was our short break,
I opened my box but it was sealed tight
Open, open for god's sake!
The lunchbox and me, a vicious fight
All my friends came to help,
The lunchbox, not a soul could open
"Together", I made a frisky yelp,
Oh, my sweet and tasty tiffin!
We attempted to open it together,
When it did not work, we banged it on the table,
It slid open like a light feather,
Oh, my disgusting, terrible rival!
Relieved and happy, I opened my box,
"Upma!" I made a sad cry
Oh, you cunning, cunning fox!
Upma after all our tries.
