The Vacant Corner
The Vacant Corner
The dog lies quietly watching her master
Round the clock, eyes glued to her master
Protecting him every second is what her life
Expecting nothing but a loyal one, she guards
When some stranger visits her master
Afraid for his safety, she barks loud
The furious boss shouts loud in his anger
But she cares not, dedicated to her duty
One day she quits the world silently, quietly
The corner now dark and silent, with no barking
Her master often stares at the vacant corner
And wish silently to hear her bark again
This is the truth more often than once
One gets irritated with their loved ones once
For trying to help them to solve the problem
Once they are no more, you realise, but late
