The Torchbearers

When negativity engulfed me all around,

And nothing positive was found,

I felt like I was trapped in a prison,

And the vices turned against me in unison.

Scary were those days,

But God showered his grace.

Sent some torchbearers in my life,

who reminded me to stand up and fight.

I realized that I have to grow,

And these evils, I have to throw.

Gradually, I became brave enough,

And started embracing my triumph

Although this task was tough,

Yet it made me rough.

Thankful to the Almighty for what I have become today,

Radiating optimism in every way

My torchbearers, I am very grateful to you.

You helped me embrace my new hue

Thankful to God for sending these souls in my life,

Who took me out of this terrible strife.
