The Second Phase
The Second Phase
When you hold your child close to your face,
Then looking at his tiny body you bring him still close.
You were a wife then, now a mother, beginning of your second phase.
As you hold him to your chest, the love just flows.
The transition is complete, now you start.
A new inning as a mother, now a period of knowing,
Your child is now a part of your heart.
You feel happiness your face is glowing,
Your Child stares at you, then suddenly
smiles, the most beautiful sight on earth.
This smile is for you mom, the child seems to say,
Your heart misses a beat at this miracle of birth.
You silently kiss him, to say, you made my day.
When a part of him and a part of you became one,
Then the seed of life was sown, within you, it's true.
Then a miracle started taking place in
you.
Nine months of happiness, solitude and fun,
Then your scream crying out in pain,
The unbearable painful pangs of conception,
You will go through this pain again and again,
To experience the birth of your child, once
again, with great affection.
