The Risk

As a second grader, I took the worlds biggest risk

Worse than watching a conjuring movie disk,

That thing was bigger than a blue whale

And just seeing it made me Litchi pale,

It had letters smaller than birds

Less pictures more words,

It was all black and white

With one picture per page right,

But once I opened and started reading a book

I went off the hook,

I couldn’t stop reading

Taking a break, then proceeding,

The book took me from fairies to pirates

Then, how they became mates,

Now, I can’t sleep if I don’t read at night

And the whole world for me, goes out of sight...
