Inner Jam

                Chaos! Disruption! Confusion!

               Wherever one turns, it's going on.

               We need to wait for any certainty.

               Well, the traffic jam has occurred. 

                All lanes for traveling are busy. 

                 What can we do at this point?

                  Halt and wait for the update;

                   Or follow one's own path?

                 An offbeat sort of traffic jam. 

                The obstacle is not on the road. 

                    It is within the mind.

                  The mind is forever at work.

                   It leaps like a monkey;

              Jumping from one thought to another.

             The mind is restless without a doubt. 

              It doesn't sit still even for a second.

                 The next thought enters,

              Even before the first one has receded. 

            Toils firm to merge the endless words. 

              It strives to weave a diverse model.

               This is the mind: unique all the while.

                  

                  The ideas do dangle,

            From the remote corners of the mind. 

              Due to the lack of vacant space,

                They collide with each other.

            Heading towards the breakdown,

          As crowded, the bus wrecks at any place.

        Traffic jam due to abrupt failure of the engine,

              It transpires without warning. 

           Does it happen in our whole mind,  

                Without a hint, before?

             Overthinking leads to confusion,

          Similar to overcrowding leads to chaos.

          We honk continuously with no self-control,

            Patience is lost from within our pockets.

           Amidst a blurry eye, we like to continue

                with our unfinished chores.

            Stressed, Irritated, Worried to the end,

           the decisions may turn wrong at that hour.

             But, we keep on adding more stuff 

                To the already clogged brain.

              

                 Boom! Boom! Boom!

               The end is almost here.

               Crashing into something,

                 Accidents do happen.

             With the traffic problem of mind,

               Stay alert and listen calmly.

                 It can be any ailment.

              Is it the brain hemorrhage?

                Or a cardiac arrest?  

                It may be depression.         

                  Life is at stake.

            Traffic police arrive without delay,

            To remove the disorder on the road.

          They help to manage the flow of traffic.

            Road moves are back to normal.

            When to call the Traffic Police of mind?

         To remove the trash of worthless thoughts,

             Into the nearest bin without restraint.

              Then the mind will be back to order.

              But when to make the decision?

        Be wary of traffic jam within the mind in future!
