The Retrouvaille
The Retrouvaille
I just can’t put
a finger on it and doubts i’ve had a few.
they may say that we just met
but i’ve only rediscovered you.
every little thing,
undid them all—I eradicated them backspaces.
I searched for your truth
in all other masks and faces.
in my poems of chaotic expressions,
I dreamt that I had found you.
I unsaw the dreams and the faces—I unfollowed their lifeless queue.
and even so I’ve only rediscovered you.
ever since, you were only a few fabrics away.
and like the ebb and flow of the sea i was sure.
just a long separation it was
and that i’ve had your same joy before.
