The Pink Ribbon
The Pink Ribbon
Once I had a ribbon pink
It was my favorite most thing
I used to wear it in my hair
It made me look like a maiden fair
It was my friend and companion
As we worked and played in unison
It gave a dash of pretty bright
To my melancholy dark pleats tight
It made me happy when I was sad
It stayed with me in times bad
It was my partner in naughty crime
It was with me when I reached my prime
I found it today in a deep dark corner
Hidden for years in my accessory drawer
As I held it in my hand after decades three
It set my childhood memories free!
